RideBrief has not launched, so today this site collects one thing: an email address, and only if you choose to give it. This page explains what happens to it, who else sees it, and how to get it back or removed.
01 · Controller
Who is responsible.
Teumim Ltd is the data controller for personal data collected through ridebrief.pro. We are registered in England and Wales, company number 12124299, with our registered office at 10 Riverside Business Park, Lyon Road, London SW19 2RL, England.
We have not appointed a Data Protection Officer — we are not required to. Data protection enquiries go to info@teumimltd.com, or by post to the address above.
This policy is written under the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
02 · Collection
What we collect.
RideBrief has not launched. There are no accounts, no logins and no uploads, so there is very little to collect. Specifically:
- Your email address — only if you type it into the waitlist form and submit it. Nothing else is asked for and nothing else is stored alongside it, beyond the date you joined and which page you joined from.
- Analytics — aggregated, cookieless page-view statistics through Plausible Analytics. This does not identify you and we cannot trace it back to an individual.
- Server logs — our hosting provider records technical request data, including IP address and browser user agent, for security and reliability.
This site sets no cookies. There is no advertising pixel, no cross-site tracking and no social media tracker.
03 · Lawful basis
Why we are allowed to.
- Waitlist email — consent, Article 6(1)(a). You give it by submitting the form, and you can withdraw it at any time.
- Analytics — legitimate interests, Article 6(1)(f): understanding in aggregate how the site is used. No personal data is processed.
- Server logs — legitimate interests, Article 6(1)(f): keeping the site secure and available.
04 · Use
What we do with it.
We use your email address for one purpose: to tell you about RideBrief becoming available, and about the product in the run-up to that.
We do not sell your data. We do not share it with advertisers or marketing platforms. We do not use it for automated decision-making or profiling.
05 · Recipients
Who else touches it.
We use a small number of service providers to run the site. They process data on our behalf and only as needed to provide their service:
- Vercel — hosts and serves this website, and keeps the request logs described above.
- Neon — hosts the database holding the waitlist. That database is located in the European Union (Frankfurt).
- Google — when someone joins the waitlist we send ourselves a notification email through Gmail, so the address passes through and is stored in that mailbox.
- Plausible Analytics — provides the aggregated, cookieless page statistics.
Some of these providers are headquartered outside the United Kingdom, which means your email address may be processed outside the UK.
06 · Retention
How long we keep it.
We keep your email address until RideBrief launches and we have contacted you about it, or until you ask us to delete it — whichever comes first. If you ask, we delete it and do not keep a copy.
Aggregated analytics contain no personal data and are retained as statistics. Server logs are kept by our hosting provider for a short period for security purposes.
07 · Rights
What you can ask for.
Under the UK GDPR you have the right to:
- Access — ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Rectification — have inaccurate data corrected.
- Erasure — have your data deleted.
- Restriction — ask us to limit how we use it.
- Objection — object to processing carried out on the basis of legitimate interests.
- Portability — receive your data in a portable format.
- Withdraw consent — withdraw it at any time, which stops any further use of your email address. This does not affect anything done before you withdrew it.
To exercise any of these, write to info@teumimltd.com. We will respond within one month. There is no charge.
08 · Complaints
If you are unhappy.
If you think we have handled your data badly, please tell us first at info@teumimltd.com so we can put it right.
You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office, the UK supervisory authority, at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
09 · Children
Not aimed at children.
This site is intended for adults and we do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has submitted an email address to us, write to us and we will delete it.
10 · Changes
Changes to this policy.
This policy will be updated when RideBrief launches, because a working service will collect more than an email address. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised.
